Sanep: Most Czechs agree with Barta’s economies

PRAGUE (CIA) – Most Czechs, specifically 58.6%, agree with the steps recently taken by Transport Minister Vit Barta, especially with his decision to carry on with only those transport projects whose contractors offer additional discounts. 90.6% of responds believe that the price of highway construction in the Czech Republic is excessive. This is according to a poll conducted by Sanep among 8,252 respondents.

According to poll results, 42.9% of people agree with a suspension of transport construction projects and 43.2% agree with Barta’s changes in the Ministry and associated organisations. Respondents over 55 years of age tend to approve of Barta. On the other hand, he is met with suspicion by 38.8% respondents, mainly left voters and people with elementary education.
