PRAGUE (ČIA) – The housing committee of the Prague Municipal Board of Deputies has approved the transformation of its residential fund. The chairman of the housing committee, Roman Petrus, has informed that the city plans to sell roughly a half of its apartment portfolio in the near future. The other half cannot be sold, as the apartments were sold using subsidies. The city councillor for housing, Petr Dolínek, has added that the income from the sale will be used for social housing, i.e. primarily apartments for senior citizens and start-up flats for young families.
